GlossGenius is a scheduling, payments, and business-management platform used by beauty, wellness, salon, spa, and medspa businesses. Professionals manage the business through an account login, but clients normally schedule through the provider’s personal booking website without creating a GlossGenius account.
This independent article is not affiliated with GlossGenius and cannot access or change any GlossGenius account.
Use the professional login when managing a calendar, services, clients, payments, or business settings. Use the provider’s booking link when trying to make an appointment.
What GlossGenius is
GlossGenius brings several parts of a service business into one system. Its current product pages describe tools for online booking, appointment scheduling, client relationships, payments, reporting, marketing, and team operations. The platform serves individual professionals as well as businesses with multiple providers.
A GlossGenius account has two distinct sides.
The private side is used by the business owner and permitted team members. The public side is the booking website clients see when they select services and appointment times.
Confusing those two sides creates many apparent login problems. A client who reaches the professional login may assume an account is required. A business owner who opens the public website may see the service menu but none of the management controls.
The fix is usually a page change, not a password change.
GlossGenius login for professionals
Professionals can access GlossGenius through its official mobile application or browser-based account interface. The account email must match the address used when the business profile was created or when the team member was invited.
After login, the controls shown may differ according to subscription level, business type, assigned role, device, and account permissions. A team member can be logged in successfully while remaining unable to edit certain settings.
Check the role first.
Account owners should avoid sharing their own credentials with employees or contractors. Each authorized person should use the access method provided for that individual role. This keeps business ownership, calendar access, client controls, and payment permissions separated.
Browser access is useful when working from a laptop or desktop. The mobile app may remain necessary for certain phone-oriented functions, and GlossGenius recommends checking the app version and internet connection when the application behaves unexpectedly.
Clients should use the booking website
Clients usually do not sign in through the main GlossGenius account page. The provider’s public booking website is the correct destination.
GlossGenius states that clients can use these booking websites without an account login or app download. The customer opens the professional’s link, reviews the available services, selects an appointment time, and follows the booking prompts created by that business.
The booking link may appear on:
- The professional’s business website
- An Instagram or Facebook profile
- A Google Business Profile
- An appointment reminder
- A text or email from the business
- The provider’s online portfolio
A search for the word “GlossGenius” alone may lead to the company homepage rather than the intended salon. Search for the provider’s name and location, or return to the source where the business originally shared its booking link.
Do that first. Skip account registration unless you are opening or joining a business account.
Why no appointment times appear
An empty calendar does not necessarily indicate a technical outage.
The selected provider may be fully booked, online booking may be paused, the service may only be offered during certain hours, or the service may not be assigned to a professional with matching availability. A business can also limit how far ahead or how close to an appointment clients are allowed to book.
This is where setup errors become visible.
For example, a service may exist in the internal service list while remaining unavailable to clients because its assigned provider has no compatible working hours. A duration that extends past the end of a shift can also leave no valid opening, even when part of the afternoon appears empty on the calendar.
Review the complete booking combination:
- Service availability
- Assigned professional
- Provider working hours
- Appointment duration
- Booking-window rules
- Existing appointments and blocked time
GlossGenius includes service, online-booking, calendar, and appointment-management documentation in separate Help Center categories. That separation reflects how several settings can affect the final list of times shown to a client.
A client should contact the business directly about missing dates. The business controls its own availability.
What to check when login fails
A failed login can come from the page, email address, password, application, connection, subscription status, or a broader platform incident.
Start with the official GlossGenius status page. It separates Account Login from components such as Booking Site, Payment Processing, Admin, Notifications, Reporting & Analytics, and Payroll. One function may have an incident while another continues working normally.
When no relevant outage is reported, use this order:
- Confirm that the page is the professional account login.
- Enter the email associated with the correct business.
- Test the official app and browser separately.
- Update the application.
- Check Wi-Fi or mobile-data access.
- Use Forgot Password if the password is uncertain.
Testing both access routes provides a useful clue. When browser login works but the app fails, the account itself is probably active, and the problem is more likely tied to the app version, device, or local connection.
When neither route works, password recovery and account status deserve closer attention.
Do not keep guessing.
Resetting a GlossGenius password
GlossGenius documents the same basic recovery route for its app and browser login. Select Forgot Password, enter the email address connected to the account, and open the password-reset email.
The current instructions state that the reset link remains valid for 24 hours. After opening it, the user enters and confirms a replacement password and submits the change.
Users who are already signed into the mobile app can follow the documented path:
Features > Settings > Personal information > Reset Password
GlossGenius then sends a reset message to the account email.
If no email arrives, check that the address was typed correctly and inspect filtered mail folders. An expired link should be replaced by requesting another reset rather than repeatedly opening the old message.
Only use recovery communications generated from the official login process. Do not give account access information to an independent website, advertisement, social-media reply, or person claiming to be an account-recovery agent.
Subscription billing can affect access
Login trouble may begin after a failed subscription payment.
GlossGenius maintains a specific support article for failed charges, duplicate billing, and problems updating a subscription payment method. Its Help Center indicates that billing problems may require correcting the payment information or contacting support when a charge cannot be explained.
Before assuming the password is wrong, consider whether the business recently:
- Replaced a billing card
- Received a failed-payment notice
- Changed subscription plans
- Canceled the subscription
- Created more than one business account
- Used a different email during signup
Do not open another account simply to test access. A second profile can create a separate booking website, calendar, and subscription without restoring the original business data.
Resolve the existing account first.
Current GlossGenius pricing
GlossGenius offers different plans for beauty and wellness businesses and for medical-aesthetics practices. The Help Center currently lists Standard, Gold, and Platinum options for beauty and wellness, plus separate Practice plans with features intended for medspa operations.
At the time of review, published pricing included:
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual-billing equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $28 per month | $24 per month |
| Gold | $56 per month | $48 per month |
| Platinum | $168 per month | $148 per month |
Annual-billing equivalents require payment under the annual subscription arrangement rather than ordinary month-to-month billing. Plan eligibility, included tools, and pricing can change, so the current official pricing page should be checked before purchase.
GlossGenius also advertises a 14-day trial without requiring a credit card. The trial should not be mistaken for a permanent free plan.
Choose based on required functions, not the longest feature list. A solo professional who needs booking, payments, and client management may not benefit from paying for tools designed for a larger team or clinical workflow.
Payments and processing costs
GlossGenius currently advertises a flat 2.6% payment-processing rate. Its payment page says this rate applies without separate Tap to Pay, card-on-file, or manually entered transaction surcharges from GlossGenius.
That advertised processing rate is separate from the monthly software subscription.
Businesses should review the checkout configuration, payout status, transaction details, and any client-facing fee arrangement before estimating net revenue. Processing costs can also differ from refunds, disputes, financing products, hardware purchases, or other optional services.
GlossGenius’s current app listings mention payment acceptance through Tap to Pay and compatible card readers. Available functions can depend on the device, operating system, account eligibility, and region.
For a missing transfer, inspect the account’s payout records before relying only on the original payment date. A completed client payment and a bank-posted payout are separate events.
Contacting official support
GlossGenius lists support availability from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time Monday through Friday and from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday.
Its current support documentation lists 1-888-979-7864 for calls or text messages. GlossGenius notes that message and data rates may apply to text support.
Before making contact, identify:
- Whether the issue affects the app, browser, or both
- The affected function, such as login or booking
- The approximate time the issue began
- Whether the official status page reports an incident
- Whether the problem concerns an owner or team account
Describe the issue without sending private credentials or full financial information. Account actions should remain inside official GlossGenius channels.
Frequently asked questions
Is GlossGenius a booking app?
It is broader than a booking app. GlossGenius combines scheduling with business-management, payment, client, marketing, and reporting tools.
Do clients need a GlossGenius login?
No.
Why am I seeing a salon page instead of my dashboard?
You probably opened the business’s public booking website rather than the professional account interface. Return to the main GlossGenius site or official app and use the business login.
Can I use GlossGenius on a computer?
Yes. Professionals can use the browser-based account interface, although some functions may be better suited to or limited to the mobile application.
Why does my password-reset link no longer work?
The documented reset link expires after 24 hours. Request a new reset email from the login screen rather than reopening the expired link.
Why can a client see my service but not book it?
The service may lack compatible staff availability, its duration may not fit an open period, or booking rules may exclude the dates the client is viewing. Check the service, assigned professional, calendar, and booking-window settings together.
Does GlossGenius have a free plan?
A permanent free plan is not currently listed. The company advertises a 14-day trial, followed by a paid subscription.
Should I contact GlossGenius about a salon’s availability?
Contact the salon or professional. Independent businesses control their services, schedules, prices, and appointment availability.
