GlossGenius is a business platform for beauty, wellness, salon, spa, medspa, and other appointment-based professionals. Owners and authorized team members use the GlossGenius app or browser login, while clients usually make appointments through a business’s public booking website.

This independent guide is not operated by or affiliated with GlossGenius.

Set up the business account first. Then test the booking page as a client before sharing its link publicly.

What GlossGenius includes

GlossGenius combines appointment scheduling, online booking, payments, client management, reporting, marketing, inventory, and team tools within one business system. Its website currently markets the platform to beauty, wellness, and health businesses.

The private account and public booking website serve different purposes.

The private side lets the business manage services, appointments, clients, settings, staff access, and transactions. The public side lets clients view the business, choose services, and request available appointment times.

A client normally does not need the professional’s login. A professional should not try to manage the business from the client-facing page.

That sounds basic. It prevents a surprising number of wrong-page problems.

Creating the first service

An empty account cannot produce a useful booking page until the business adds services and connects them to actual availability.

GlossGenius currently documents the mobile path as Settings > Services > + icon. The same section can also be reached through Features > Services. A service added there can appear on the business’s personal booking page.

Service setup may involve details such as:

  • Service name
  • Price
  • Appointment duration
  • Service category
  • Eligible team member
  • Client-facing availability

Enter realistic durations first. Skip decorative descriptions until the calendar works correctly.

A 90-minute service cannot appear inside a 60-minute opening. Likewise, a service assigned to one team member will not become bookable merely because another team member has free time.

Test one service before building the entire menu. This makes duration, assignment, and availability errors easier to isolate.

Customizing the booking website

GlossGenius provides booking-site appearance controls through its website settings. The current support documentation lists theme, colors, cover image, and service-display options, with access through both the mobile app and web browser. These controls require permission to manage booking and payment details.

Appearance comes second.

Before adjusting colors or photography, verify the business name, contact information, service list, prices, durations, team assignments, and working hours. A visually polished page can still lose appointments when clients cannot find the correct service or no valid time appears.

Businesses that already operate a separate website can link it to the GlossGenius booking site. GlossGenius documents this setup as available across its subscription plans.

The booking link can also be connected to Facebook and Instagram. The documented app route is Settings > Booking Controls > Facebook/Instagram Booking > Connect to Facebook.

External social-platform screens may differ by account type or region.

How clients schedule appointments

Clients should open the booking link associated with the specific professional or business. They should not begin at the main professional login unless they also operate a GlossGenius business account.

The exact booking flow depends on the business configuration. A solo provider may show a direct service calendar, while a team business may ask the client to choose a professional. GlossGenius also supports booking appointments with multiple professionals through one online booking flow.

No available times can mean several things:

  1. The professional is fully booked.
  2. The service is not assigned to an available team member.
  3. The service duration does not fit the open calendar period.
  4. Online booking is restricted for that service.
  5. The business has blocked or shortened its working hours.
  6. The requested date falls outside its booking window.

Check the setup before assuming the platform is broken.

A business owner can also schedule an appointment for a client through the mobile app or web account rather than asking the client to complete the public booking flow.

Approving bookings manually

Not every online appointment has to be accepted automatically.

GlossGenius currently offers an Auto-Approve Appointments control. In the mobile app, the documented route is Features > Settings > Booking Controls > Online Booking Settings. The business can choose manual approval for all clients or only for new clients.

On the web interface, GlossGenius documents the route as Settings > Business > Booking Controls.

Manual review can be useful when a service requires consultation, special timing, or eligibility confirmation. It also introduces another reason a client may not see an appointment as fully confirmed immediately.

Business owners should make the approval process clear in client communications. Do not leave requests pending without reviewing the account calendar.

Logging in on a computer

GlossGenius supports browser access on all subscription plans. Its current support documentation directs professionals to the web login for desktop access.

Use the browser when reviewing a larger calendar, changing business settings, working with reports, or performing tasks that are easier on a full-size screen. The exact feature set may differ from the mobile app.

Some account problems are actually permission problems. GlossGenius documents team permissions under Features > Teams > Select Team Member > Change Roles & Permissions in the mobile app.

A staff member may be able to sign in and view appointments but remain unable to edit the booking website, payments, clients, or business configuration. Resetting the password will not expand that person’s role.

Check permissions first. Skip credential sharing.

Fixing password and verification-code problems

From the app or browser login screen, use Forgot Password and enter the email address associated with the account. GlossGenius sends a recovery email containing a reset link that is valid for 24 hours. The user then enters and confirms a new password.

Users who are already signed in can change the password from the account settings. The current app path is Features > Settings > Personal information > Reset Password. On the web, it is Settings > Personal > Personal Details > Reset Password.

GlossGenius also uses multi-factor authentication. Its login troubleshooting page says users who previously opted out of verification messages may need to text START to the listed GlossGenius authentication numbers before requesting another code. Those numbers should be taken directly from the current official support article because the authentication setup may change.

Never send a verification code to another person.

When recovery fails, confirm the account email, check filtered mail folders, and try both the official app and browser. Do not create a replacement business account until the status of the original account is known.

When the app appears broken

GlossGenius’s app troubleshooting guidance begins with two ordinary checks: update the app and verify the Wi-Fi or internet connection.

Test the browser login next.

When the browser works and the app does not, focus on the mobile device, connection, or app version. When both fail, investigate the password, verification process, subscription status, or a service incident.

GlossGenius maintains an official status page that reports components separately. These include account login, booking functions, payment processing, administrative tools, and support availability.

That distinction matters because a working login does not prove that the public booking site or payment system is operating normally.

Do not repeatedly reinstall the app before checking the status page and browser.

Pricing and processing fees

GlossGenius currently advertises Beauty & Wellness subscriptions starting at $28 with monthly billing or an effective $24 per month when billed annually. Its published plan information lists:

PlanMonthly billingAnnual-billing equivalent
Standard$28 per month$24 per month
Gold$56 per month$48 per month
Platinum$168 per month$148 per month

Annual-billing amounts are tied to annual payment terms rather than ordinary monthly billing.

GlossGenius also advertises a flat 2.6% payment-processing rate.

Subscription prices and processing charges are separate costs. Optional hardware, additional products, disputes, refunds, or other account services may have their own terms.

Review the live pricing and checkout pages before subscribing. Prices, plans, and available features may change.

Reactivating an older account

An old GlossGenius account may sometimes be reactivated rather than replaced. The company’s current reactivation instructions direct users who forgot their password to reset it from the mobile login screen or through its official password-recovery route.

Reactivation and deletion are not interchangeable.

Before opening a new account, determine whether the old account is active, canceled, disabled, or permanently deleted. Preserving the original account may also preserve its booking configuration, services, client list, appointments, and business history.

Contact support when the normal reactivation process does not work.

GlossGenius customer support

GlossGenius currently lists phone and text support at 1-888-979-7864. Published hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time Monday through Friday and 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday. Limited email support is listed for Sunday.

The company also provides a searchable Help Center.

Before contacting support, identify whether the issue affects:

  • Professional login
  • Authentication codes
  • Public online booking
  • Team permissions
  • Subscription billing
  • Payment processing
  • The mobile app only

Mention the approximate time and affected feature. Keep passwords, authentication codes, and complete payment information private.

Frequently asked questions

Is GlossGenius only for salons?

No. It is marketed to beauty, wellness, and health businesses.

Can GlossGenius be used on a desktop computer?

Yes. Browser access is available across all current subscription plans.

Why can I log in but not edit settings?

Your team role may lack the required permission. Ask the account owner to review Roles & Permissions instead of sharing a different person’s account access.

Why is my service not visible to clients?

Check whether the service was added successfully, assigned to the correct professional, and matched with available working hours. A service created through Settings > Services should appear on the personal booking page when its booking setup permits it.

Does every online booking confirm automatically?

No. Businesses can require manual approval for every client or only for new clients.

How long does the password-reset link last?

It is valid for 24 hours.

Why am I not receiving a login verification code?

The phone may have opted out of GlossGenius authentication messages, the number may be incorrect, or message delivery may be delayed. Follow the current official MFA troubleshooting instructions and contact support if another requested code does not arrive.

Should clients contact GlossGenius about appointment availability?

Usually not. The individual business controls its services, schedule, approval rules, and available appointments. Clients should contact that provider directly for booking-specific questions.
