GlossGenius is a business-management platform for beauty, wellness, salon, spa, and health professionals. Owners and authorized staff use the app or web login, while clients normally book through a professional’s public booking website without downloading an app or creating an account.
This independent guide is not affiliated with or operated by GlossGenius.
Use the business login to manage appointments, payments, services, and settings. Use the individual provider’s booking link when scheduling a client appointment.
What GlossGenius is designed to do
GlossGenius combines online booking, calendar management, client records, payment processing, marketing, reporting, and team functions in one platform. It is used by solo professionals as well as businesses with several providers.
The system has a private business side and a public client side.
The private account contains operational controls. The public booking site displays the services, professionals, and appointment times the business has chosen to make available.
These pages can look related without serving the same user. A salon owner who opens the public page will not see the business dashboard. A client who reaches the professional login does not need to recover a password.
Start with the role, not the screen.
Where GlossGenius professionals log in
Professionals can use the official GlossGenius mobile application or its browser-based account interface. GlossGenius documents web-browser access as available on all current subscription plans.
The account email should match the address used when the business account was created or when the person was added as a team member. Once signed in, the available controls can depend on the subscription, account type, permissions, and device.
A successful login does not guarantee full administrative access.
For example, an employee may be able to view appointments but lack permission to edit services, payments, or booking settings. In that case, the account owner should review the person’s role rather than provide access to an owner account.
Use the browser first when working from a desktop computer. Use the official app when a function relies on mobile-device features or does not appear in the browser interface.
How clients book without logging in
A client should open the booking website belonging to the specific professional or business. GlossGenius states that its client booking flow does not require a client login or app download.
The normal flow includes selecting a service, choosing a professional when applicable, viewing available times, and submitting the information requested by the business. The order can differ between an individual account and a team account.
Clients may find the booking link through:
- The provider’s website
- A social-media profile
- A business listing
- A text or email
- A previous appointment message
- A direct link shared by the business
Searching only for “GlossGenius login” can lead to the business-management page instead of the intended salon. Search for the provider’s name and city, or return to the original page where the booking link appeared.
Clients should contact the individual business about service availability, pricing, appointment changes, or cancellations. Those decisions are controlled by the provider.
Why a booking page shows no available times
An empty appointment calendar can result from business settings rather than a platform failure.
The professional may already be booked. Online booking may have been disabled. The selected service may not be assigned to a provider with compatible working hours. The appointment duration may also be longer than the remaining open period.
Check these elements together:
- Service duration
- Assigned professional
- Provider availability
- Existing appointments
- Blocked calendar time
- Advance-booking limits
- Online-booking status
GlossGenius allows businesses to disable online booking and decide whether clients should be directed to contact the business instead.
A booking request may also require approval. GlossGenius currently lets businesses select manual approval for all online clients or only for new clients through its Auto-Approve Appointments settings.
That means “requested” and “confirmed” may not always describe the same stage.
Test the booking site from outside the owner account. Skip assumptions based only on what the internal calendar displays.
What to do when the login fails
Begin by deciding whether the problem affects the app, the browser, or both.
Try the official browser login and the current version of the mobile app separately. Check the internet connection and confirm that the email belongs to the intended account.
Then use this order:
- Confirm that the page is the business login
- Check the account email
- Test another browser or network
- Update the official application
- Use Forgot Password
- Check whether two-step authentication is blocking access
- Contact official support if both access routes fail
GlossGenius’s documented password-recovery process starts with Forgot Password on either the app or web login screen. The reset email contains a link that remains valid for 24 hours.
Users who are already signed in can open Features > Settings > Personal information > Reset Password in the mobile app.
Do password recovery first. Do not create a duplicate business account until the original account’s status is understood.
Two-step authentication problems
GlossGenius supports two-step authentication through a verification code sent by text message.
The documented mobile path for enabling it is Features > Settings > Security > Enable Two-Step Authentication. The user then confirms the change with the verification code and account password. On the web, the security setting is located under Settings > Personal > Security.
A missing code may involve the registered phone number, mobile reception, blocked messages, or an earlier opt-out from authentication texts. Follow the current official troubleshooting instructions rather than repeatedly requesting codes.
Never provide a verification code to a person contacting you by social media, public comment, or an unrelated website.
An authentication problem is different from a wrong password. Resetting the password may not fix text-message delivery.
Where the payout account is located
GlossGenius lets eligible businesses connect or update a bank account or supported debit card for payouts.
In the mobile app, the documented route is:
Features > Settings > Payout Account & Verification
In a web browser, the route is:
Settings > Business > Payout Account & Verification
GlossGenius also documents debit-card support for standard and instant payouts. In the mobile account, users can open Payout Account & Verification, select Account Details, and choose Debit Card as the account type when that option is supported.
Review the destination before processing large volumes of payments. Skip last-minute payout-account changes unless they are necessary, because an update can temporarily affect instant-payout availability.
Account and identity checks may also be required before funds can be transferred.
Standard payout timing
GlossGenius’s standard transfer schedule currently sends payouts to connected bank accounts daily from Sunday through Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, excluding banking holidays. The company sends an email titled Your Money Is on the Way with a breakdown when a standard payout is initiated.
Payments taken on business days before 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time are generally grouped and sent that night, with funds typically appearing in the receiving account the following day. Payments accepted after the cutoff can move into a later batch.
Bank posting times vary.
A card payment marked successful inside GlossGenius is not the same event as a payout appearing in the business bank account. Processing, transfer creation, and bank posting happen in sequence.
Check the payout record and transfer email first. Skip conclusions based only on the original appointment date.
Instant payouts and missing availability
GlossGenius advertises instant payouts as a faster option for eligible accounts, alongside standard transfers.
The option may not be available at every moment or for every account. GlossGenius documents a quiet period from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Sunday through Thursday, when instant payouts are unavailable because standard payouts are being processed.
Instant-payout access can also be affected after a payout account is updated. Account eligibility and transaction review may matter as well.
A missing button does not necessarily indicate that funds disappeared.
Check whether the balance is already assigned to a standard transfer, whether the account details were recently changed, and whether the request falls inside the quiet period. Contact official support when the account shows an unexplained restriction.
Processing fees and client convenience fees
GlossGenius currently documents three payment-fee configurations:
| Business pays | Client convenience fee |
|---|---|
| 2.6% | 0% |
| 1.0% | 2.5% |
| 0% | 3.5% |
These percentages are applied according to the selected payment-processing configuration described in the company’s current support documentation.
The business should review how the chosen setting appears to clients before enabling it. Rules concerning convenience fees can vary by jurisdiction, transaction type, and card-network requirements.
Do not describe a client fee as a tax or mandatory government charge unless that is actually the case.
GlossGenius also advertises a base payment-processing option at 2.6% and promotes same-business-day standard transfers as free.
Software subscription charges remain separate from card-processing fees.
Current subscription pricing
GlossGenius currently lists three primary Beauty & Wellness plans:
| Plan | Month-to-month | Effective monthly cost with annual billing |
| Standard | $28 | $24 |
| Gold | $56 | $48 |
| Platinum | $168 | $148 |
The lower figures require annual billing. GlossGenius currently describes Standard as its business-essentials option, Gold as a plan for entrepreneurs and teams, and Platinum as a higher-level option for scaling businesses.
The company also advertises a 14-day trial without a credit card. That trial should not be confused with a permanent free subscription.
Plans, promotions, and included functions can change. Verify the live pricing page before subscribing or switching tiers.
Choose the lowest plan that contains the functions the business will actually use. Skip an upgrade based only on feature count.

Frequently asked questions
Do clients need a GlossGenius account?
No.
Can owners use GlossGenius on a computer?
Yes. Browser access is documented as available on all subscription plans.
Why does my payment not appear in my bank yet?
The client payment may still be waiting for the transfer cutoff, included in a standard payout batch, or awaiting posting by the receiving bank. Review the payout record and transfer email before treating it as missing.
Why is the Instant payout option unavailable?
The request may fall inside the 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time quiet period, or payout-account changes and eligibility conditions may be affecting access.
Can payouts go to a debit card?
GlossGenius documents debit-card support for standard and instant payouts when the account and card are eligible.
Why can I log in but not see payment settings?
The account may belong to a team member without the required permission. Ask the business owner to review the person’s role rather than sharing owner credentials.
Does a booking request always confirm immediately?
No. Businesses can require manual approval for all online clients or only for new clients.
How long is a password-reset link valid?
Twenty-four hours.
