GlossGenius is a business-management platform that combines online booking, appointment scheduling, client records, payments, and operational tools for beauty, wellness, and health businesses. Professionals enter through the GlossGenius app or web login, while clients normally use a businessโs public booking page without creating an account.
This independent guide is not affiliated with or operated by GlossGenius.
Owners should configure services, working hours, and team assignments before publishing their booking link. Clients who only need an appointment should skip the professional login and open the providerโs booking website.
What GlossGenius is used for
GlossGenius provides one account for several parts of an appointment-based business. Its current product pages describe booking, scheduling, client management, payments, marketing, reporting, and team tools. The service is offered to solo professionals and businesses with multiple staff members.
Two connected interfaces are involved.
The private interface is where an owner or authorized team member manages the business. The public interface is the booking website clients see.
A client does not ordinarily need access to the private side. GlossGenius states that its online booking experience requires no client login or app download.
This distinction matters because a wrong-page visit can look like an account failure. Someone trying to book a haircut may reach the professional login and assume registration is required. An owner may open the public site and wonder why the calendar controls are missing.
Use the page that matches the job.
Logging in as an owner or team member
Professionals can access the platform through the official mobile app or its browser login. The email used at sign-in must belong to the owner account or to a team member who has been invited into that business.
The visible dashboard can differ by role.
An account owner may have access to subscription details, payout settings, team permissions, and business-wide booking controls. A team member may receive only the functions needed for appointments, services, or client work.
Do not treat missing controls as proof that the login failed. Check the assigned permissions first.
GlossGeniusโs current team-onboarding documentation says owners can invite a person through either the app or web interface, customize permissions, assign services, and set that personโs work schedule. The invited team member then receives an invitation and creates a password for individual access.
Each person should use their own account. Skip shared owner credentials, especially when payment and client-management permissions are involved.
Adding services to the booking website
A provider cannot receive useful online bookings until services are configured.
GlossGenius supports adding and editing services through both the mobile app and browser account. The service settings include a Show on website control that must be enabled for the service to appear publicly and become available for online booking.
That switch is easy to overlook.
A service can exist inside the private account but remain invisible to clients when Show on website is disabled. The provider may see the service during internal scheduling and assume the public page should show it too.
Check these details:
- The service has been saved.
- Show on website is enabled.
- The service has an appropriate duration.
- An eligible professional is assigned.
- That professional has working hours.
- The booking rules allow the requested date.
GlossGenius also supports a Starting Price setting. When it is enabled, the booking site displays the entered amount with a plus sign to indicate that the final price may begin at that figure.
Use that option carefully. The client-facing description should explain what may cause the final amount to vary.
Making a team member bookable
Adding a person to the account does not automatically guarantee that clients can book with them.
The owner must connect several settings: the team invitation, permissions, assigned services, and work schedule. GlossGeniusโs current onboarding process includes all of these as separate steps.
A newly added stylist can therefore log in successfully but remain absent from the public booking page.
Look at the full setup rather than changing the password. Confirm that the person is active, assigned to the relevant services, and scheduled to work during the dates clients are viewing.
Service duration matters too. A 75-minute appointment will not appear inside a 45-minute gap, even when the calendar looks partly open.
Test the result from the public page.
Open the booking website outside the owner dashboard, select the new team member, choose an assigned service, and inspect several dates. This client-side test catches missing assignments and mismatched availability faster than reviewing each internal screen separately.
How clients complete a booking
Clients begin on the businessโs individual GlossGenius booking website. They select an available service, choose a provider when the business has a team, and pick a time offered by that providerโs schedule.
No professional login is needed.
GlossGeniusโs booking documentation also states that clients can use the Contact tab on a businessโs booking site to submit their name, email address, and a message to the business.
The exact booking sequence depends on the account configuration. A solo provider may send the client directly from the service menu to a calendar. A larger business may ask for a team-member selection first.
The business controls its services, prices, available times, booking limits, and appointment policies. Clients should contact that business directly when asking for a special time, service adjustment, or cancellation decision.
GlossGenius support manages the platform. It does not set an independent salonโs daily availability.
Why a service or appointment time is missing
Missing availability usually comes from one of three layers: the service, the staff assignment, or the calendar.
Start with the service. Confirm that it is shown on the website and assigned to the person the client selected.
Then check the personโs schedule. A team member without working hours will not produce valid appointment openings.
Now check the booking window and existing calendar. The requested service must fit completely inside the open period without colliding with another appointment or blocked time.
Do not widen every setting at once.
Change one item, reload the public booking site, and test again. If several settings are changed simultaneously, it becomes difficult to identify which correction solved the problem or introduced a new one.
A recent service edit may also require the page to be refreshed before the client sees the latest configuration. Try a private browser window when testing so that an older page version does not confuse the result.
Recovering a GlossGenius login
Use Forgot Password from the official app or browser login screen when the account password is uncertain.
GlossGenius says the resulting password-reset email contains a link that remains valid for 24 hours. Once it expires, the user should request another recovery email rather than trying to reuse the old link.
The account email matters. A reset request sent for a different address will not restore access to the intended business.
When the user no longer has access to the email associated with the account, GlossGenius directs them to contact its support team for help changing the account email.
Do recovery first. Skip creating a replacement business profile, because a new account will not automatically contain the original services, website, clients, appointments, or payment setup.
An older canceled account may also be eligible for reactivation. GlossGenius provides a dedicated reactivation process and advises contacting support when the normal steps do not work.
Checking whether GlossGenius is down
A login failure and a booking-site failure are not necessarily the same incident.
GlossGenius maintains an official status page for platform components, including account access, booking, payments, administrative tools, and other operational services.
Check the affected function before changing account settings.
When the status page shows normal operation, compare the app and browser. A working browser login with a failing app points toward the device, application version, or local connection. Failure in both places suggests an account, password, verification, or service-status problem.
Keep the diagnosis narrow.
Repeatedly reinstalling the app will not correct a service that was hidden from the booking page, a team member without assigned hours, or a recovery request sent to the wrong email.
Setting up payment processing
GlossGenius requires businesses to complete identity verification and add a payout account before beginning payment processing. Once the payout account is connected, eligible earnings can be delivered through the standard transfer schedule or the Instant Payouts feature.
Verification is part of payment account setup, not a separate client-booking requirement.
The company currently advertises a flat 2.6% card-processing rate and says it does not add separate processing surcharges for Tap to Pay, card-on-file, or manually entered transactions.
Subscription charges and transaction-processing costs are separate. A business should account for both when comparing plans.
Review the payout destination before accepting a large payment volume. GlossGenius provides a dedicated payout-account setting for adding or updating a bank account or eligible debit card.
Payment availability and payout timing can vary according to account standing, verification, processing cutoffs, bank holidays, and the receiving financial institution.
Reviewing payouts after checkout
The Payouts Dashboard provides the clearest record of where transferred funds stand.
GlossGenius says the dashboard identifies standard and instant payouts. For standard payouts, it can show a breakdown of the individual client payments included in the transfer, including transaction dates, times, and amounts.
Check that dashboard first when money has not appeared in the expected account.
A completed checkout does not mean the bank has already posted the transfer. The card payment, payout creation, and receiving-bank posting are separate stages.
Eligible accounts can request an Instant Payout from the dashboard. GlossGenius says eligibility requires an account in good standing with its payment processor and active card-payment processing. Instant payouts are also unavailable during the documented quiet period between 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Sunday through Thursday.
A missing instant-payout control does not by itself mean the payment is lost. The funds may be included in standard processing, the account may not currently qualify, or the request may fall inside the quiet period.
GlossGenius subscription options
GlossGenius offers multiple subscription plans rather than a permanent no-cost account. Its official materials currently advertise a 14-day trial without requiring a credit card upfront.
The pricing page should be checked directly before subscribing because plan names, promotional amounts, features, and annual-billing discounts can change.
Choose based on required operations.
A solo provider may prioritize booking, calendar management, services, payments, and basic client records. A growing team may need staff permissions, payroll, multi-location tools, or more advanced business controls.
Do not select a plan only because it contains the longest feature list. Start with the functions that will be used weekly, then compare upgrade costs against the actual workflow.
Frequently asked questions
Do clients need to log in to GlossGenius?
No.
Can GlossGenius be used from a computer?
Yes. The platform supports a browser login in addition to its mobile application, although certain mobile-oriented client-profile actions may not be available on the web interface.
Why is my service missing from the booking page?
Check Show on website first. The service must also be assigned to an available provider and fit within that personโs working hours.
Why is a new employee not bookable?
The person may have joined the account without receiving assigned services or a work schedule. Review the team-member setup, service assignments, permissions, and availability together.
Can an owner schedule an appointment for a client?
Yes. GlossGenius documents self-scheduling through both its mobile app and browser account. The owner can also choose whether the client should be notified about the new appointment.
How long does a password-reset link work?
It remains valid for 24 hours.
Why can I log in but not manage payouts?
The signed-in person may lack owner-level payment permissions, or payment processing may not be fully verified. Confirm the account role and payout setup before resetting access.
Where can I see which payments were included in a payout?
Open the Payouts Dashboard. Standard-payout records can include the individual client transactions grouped into that transfer.
