GlossGenius is an appointment and business-management platform used by beauty, wellness, salon, spa, medspa, and related service providers. Professionals manage their business through the GlossGenius app or web login; clients normally use the providerโs public booking website without opening a GlossGenius account.
This is an independent guide and is not affiliated with GlossGenius.
Choose the page based on your task. Owners and authorized team members need the professional account, while clients looking for an appointment need the individual businessโs booking link.
What GlossGenius is
GlossGenius combines online booking, scheduling, client management, payments, reporting, marketing, and other operating tools within one platform. Its current website markets the system to individual professionals and larger beauty, wellness, and health businesses.
The platform has two sides that searchers often confuse.
The private side contains the business calendar, account settings, services, transactions, and administrative controls. The public side is the booking website where clients view services and choose an available appointment.
Clients do not need the ownerโs login.
GlossGenius states that its booking websites work without client logins or app downloads. A person who only wants to schedule a service should return to the professionalโs website, social profile, business listing, or direct booking message rather than attempting password recovery.
Finding the correct GlossGenius login
Professionals can sign in through the official mobile application or web-browser interface. GlossGenius documents computer access as available on every current subscription plan.
Use the email address attached to the intended business account. Someone who manages more than one location, previously worked for another GlossGenius business, or received a team invitation under a different email can otherwise enter the wrong profile.
A successful sign-in does not mean every control will appear. Team roles and permissions can restrict access to business settings, client information, payments, or administrative functions.
Do this first: verify the account identity and role. Skip password changes when the problem is simply a missing permission.
Browser access is useful for working from a larger screen. The app remains relevant when a function is designed around a mobile device or is not yet supported in the web interface.
How client booking differs from account access
A GlossGenius booking page belongs to a specific provider or business. It is not a general customer dashboard where every salon client creates one universal account.
The client opens the providerโs page, selects a service, chooses a professional when applicable, and reviews available times. GlossGenius currently describes the booking experience as available around the clock and requiring neither an app download nor a client login.
The business controls what appears.
Service availability, working hours, appointment duration, blocked calendar time, assigned staff, and booking-window rules can all affect which times are offered. A client who sees no openings should contact the business about its schedule rather than trying to access the private professional account.
A blank calendar is not automatically an outage.
Why a service may not be bookable
GlossGeniusโs current service instructions direct mobile users to Settings > Services > + icon, with Features > Services offered as another path. Once configured for public booking, a service can appear on the businessโs personal booking page.
Several settings must agree:
- The service must be active and publicly displayed.
- Its duration must fit inside an open period.
- An eligible professional must be assigned.
- That professional must have working hours.
- The date must fall within the allowed booking window.
- Existing appointments and blocked time must leave enough room.
A 60-minute gap cannot hold a 75-minute service. Nor will another employeeโs free calendar help when the service is assigned only to one professional.
Test one service from the public page before publishing a large menu. This exposes mismatched durations and staff assignments without forcing the owner to inspect every setting at once.
What to check when login stops working
GlossGenius maintains a status page that tracks Account Login and Booking Site separately. At the time of review, both components were reported as operational, but the live page should be checked whenever an access problem begins.
When no relevant incident is shown, use this sequence:
- Confirm that you opened the professional login
- Verify the account email
- Try the app and browser separately
- Update the mobile application
- Check the internet connection
- Use Forgot Password if the password is uncertain
GlossGeniusโs own app troubleshooting guidance starts with updating the application and checking Wi-Fi or internet access.
Testing both platforms matters. When the browser works but the app fails, the account is probably active and the fault is more likely tied to the app, device, or connection. When neither works, password recovery, account status, and platform availability need closer review.
Do not reinstall repeatedly.
Resetting a GlossGenius password
From the app or browser login screen, select Forgot Password, enter the email associated with the account, and open the recovery email sent by GlossGenius.
The official login troubleshooting instructions state that the reset link remains valid for 24 hours. The link opens a screen where the user enters and confirms a new password before submitting the change.
A person who is already signed in through the web interface can use:
Settings > Personal > Personal Details > Reset Password
GlossGenius then sends a password-reset email.
Check the spelling of the account email when the message does not arrive. Also inspect filtered mail folders before requesting several replacement messages.
Never send a recovery link or authentication code to an independent support page, advertiser, or social-media contact.
Understanding GlossGenius subscription prices
GlossGenius offers paid software plans rather than advertising a permanent no-cost account. Its official pricing page currently lists Beauty & Wellness subscriptions with monthly and annual billing options.
At the time of review, the advertised prices were:
| Plan | Monthly billing | Effective monthly rate with annual billing |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $28 | $24 |
| Gold | $56 | $48 |
| Platinum | $168 | $148 |
The lower monthly equivalents require annual billing. Plan features and prices may change, and separate packages may apply to medspa or other business types.
Verify the live pricing page before subscribing.
Pick the plan around the businessโs weekly workflow. A solo provider may care most about booking, payments, reminders, and client records, while a larger operation may need advanced team controls, payroll, reporting, or multiple-location functions.
Skip an upgrade based only on the number of listed features.
The standard card-processing rate
GlossGenius currently advertises a flat 2.6% payment-processing rate. The company says it does not add separate processing surcharges for Tap to Pay, card-on-file, or manually entered card transactions under that standard structure.
The software subscription and payment-processing fee are separate costs.
GlossGenius also allows businesses to choose how part of the standard processing expense is divided between the business and client. Its current documentation lists three configurations:
| Business processing fee | Client convenience fee |
| 2.6% | 0% |
| 1.0% | 2.5% |
| 0% | 3.5% |
For example, when the business selects the 0% processing-fee configuration, GlossGeniusโs documentation says a $100 service produces a $103.50 client total. The business receives $100 in its payout, while the $3.50 convenience fee goes to the processor.
Client-fee rules can vary by jurisdiction and transaction type. Businesses should review the live checkout presentation and applicable requirements before changing the setting.
Buy Now, Pay Later costs are different
Buy Now, Pay Later transactions do not use the ordinary 2.6% structure.
GlossGenius currently documents a fixed BNPL processing rate of 6% plus $0.30 per transaction. The business pays that cost, and it cannot be transferred to the client through the standard convenience-fee settings.
That is a meaningful difference.
A business comparing checkout options should calculate expected net revenue separately for ordinary card payments and BNPL purchases. The higher BNPL cost reflects the terms attached to services such as Afterpay, Affirm, and Klarna, according to the official support documentation.
Review the fee before enabling BNPL for higher-priced packages. Skip assumptions that every GlossGenius payment follows the advertised base processing rate.
Payout speed and Instant Payout fees
GlossGenius currently states that standard transfers are sent the same business day, with funds typically arriving in the bank account on the following business day. Bank posting times and holidays can affect the final arrival.
Eligible businesses may also use Instant Payouts. GlossGenius advertises delivery within minutes for a fee of 1.8%.
A successful client charge, a payout being sent, and the receiving bank posting that payout are separate stages. The original checkout time alone does not reveal where the funds currently sit.
Check the payout record first. Skip changing the linked destination merely because a transfer has not appeared as quickly as expected, since account changes may introduce additional review or temporary restrictions.
Moving business data to GlossGenius
GlossGenius currently advertises a data-transfer service for businesses switching from another system. The official contact page says the service can import appointments, services, inventory, and client lists.
This can reduce manual setup, but imported information should be reviewed before the booking page is published. Service durations, prices, staff assignments, client notes, and future appointments may not behave correctly if the source system organized them differently.
Verify the calendar first. Then test the public booking experience.
Getting official support
GlossGenius lists support hours as:
- Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time
- Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time
The companyโs recent official app response also lists the support email support@glossgenius.com and phone number 1-888-979-7864. Contact details can change, so confirm them through an official GlossGenius page before reaching out.
Before contacting support, note whether the issue affects the browser, app, booking website, payment processing, or account login. Include the approximate time and the affected feature without sending passwords, verification codes, or full financial details.
Frequently asked questions
Do clients need a GlossGenius login?
No.
Can I access GlossGenius from a computer?
Yes. Web-browser access is currently available on all subscription plans.
Why does the browser work when the app does not?
That pattern usually points toward the mobile app, device, or network rather than a completely inaccessible account. Update the official app, verify the connection, and check the status page before changing account settings.
How long is the password-reset link valid?
Twenty-four hours.
Does every card transaction cost 2.6%?
No. The advertised standard card rate is 2.6%, but the business can choose documented client-fee configurations, and BNPL transactions currently carry a separate rate of 6% plus $0.30.
What does Instant Payout cost?
GlossGenius currently advertises a 1.8% fee.
Why is a service missing from my booking page?
Check whether it was made public, assigned to an eligible professional, and matched with enough calendar availability. Service duration and booking-window settings can also remove otherwise open-looking times.
Should I create another account after a login failure?
Not before checking the original account email, password recovery, app and browser access, service status, and official support options. A new profile will not automatically contain the original calendar, clients, services, or payment setup.
