GlossGenius is a business-management platform for beauty, wellness, salon, spa, and medspa professionals. Business owners and staff can sign in through the GlossGenius app or its web login, while clients normally book through an individual professional’s booking website without creating a GlossGenius login.
This independent guide is not operated by, endorsed by, or affiliated with GlossGenius.
That distinction solves the most common wrong-page problem. A professional trying to manage appointments needs the account login; a client trying to schedule a service needs the provider’s booking link.
What is GlossGenius used for?
GlossGenius combines appointment scheduling, a customizable booking website, client management, payment processing, marketing, inventory tools, reporting, and team-management functions in one platform. It supports solo professionals as well as businesses with multiple providers.
The platform is primarily built for service businesses such as salons, spas, medspas, barbers, estheticians, nail professionals, massage providers, and related beauty or wellness operations. Owners can manage their schedules and business settings, while clients use the public-facing booking experience.
Clients generally do not need the business-owner app.
GlossGenius states that its client booking flow requires neither an app download nor a client account login. A client chooses a professional, selects one or more services, picks an available date and time, and provides the contact information needed to complete the appointment request.
Where professionals log in
The official browser route is available through the Log in link on the GlossGenius website. GlossGenius also documents glossgenius.com/login as the desktop access point.
On a phone or tablet, use the official GlossGenius business app distributed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Do not install an app from an advertisement, file-sharing page, or unofficial download directory.
Use the browser login when you need desktop access. Use the mobile app first when a feature depends on phone functions or is not available through the browser interface. For example, GlossGenius says some client-profile actions, including adding a profile picture and initiating a text, call, or email, are currently unavailable from the web browser login.
Account owners should also check which role is being used. A team member who cannot open certain client information may lack the required client permissions, in which case the account owner must change those permissions.
How clients book an appointment
A client should begin with the booking website or booking link belonging to the specific professional or business. The main GlossGenius login is not the normal starting point.
The booking sequence may vary according to the provider’s settings, available services, staff structure, deposits, intake requirements, and cancellation policies. In a typical team-booking flow, the client selects a professional, chooses the service, selects an available appointment time, and enters contact information to complete the booking.
No login is required.
If a client lands on an account sign-in screen, do this first: return to the salon or professional’s website, social profile, business listing, appointment message, or direct booking link. Skip password recovery unless the person actually owns or works in the business account.
Another frequent mix-up involves changing an appointment. Clients should use the controls provided in their confirmation or reminder communication when available, or contact the business directly. The professional login is reserved for authorized members of the business.
What to do when the GlossGenius login is not working
Start by separating an individual device problem from a platform-wide incident.
GlossGenius maintains an official status page that reports the condition of Account Login, Admin, Booking Site, Payment Processing, Notifications, Marketing, Reporting & Analytics, Payroll, and GlossGenius Support. A booking-site outage can exist independently of an account-login problem, so check the specific component rather than relying on a generic “site down” report.
When the status page shows normal operation, follow this order:
- Confirm that you are using the business login rather than a client booking page.
- Confirm that the email address belongs to the intended GlossGenius account.
- Try the official app and official browser login separately.
- Update the app and check the device’s internet connection.
- Use Forgot Password rather than repeatedly attempting an uncertain password.
GlossGenius’s app troubleshooting guidance specifically recommends checking the internet connection and updating the application when the app is not behaving correctly.
Do the simple checks first. Skip reinstalling the app until you have tested the browser login, because a successful browser sign-in immediately narrows the fault to the app, device, or local connection.
How password recovery works
From the GlossGenius app or browser login screen, select Forgot Password, enter the email address associated with the account, and open the password-reset message sent to that address. The official instructions state that the reset link remains valid for 24 hours. The resulting screen asks for a new password and confirmation before submission.
Already signed in? In the mobile app, the documented path is Features > Settings > Personal information > Reset Password. GlossGenius then sends the reset email used to set the replacement password.
A delayed email does not necessarily mean the account is missing. Check whether the address was entered correctly and whether mail filtering moved the message. If the reset link has expired, request a new one from the login screen rather than trying to reuse it.
Never send a password or reset link to a third-party guide, advertiser, or social-media account.
Disabled, canceled, and deleted accounts
A correct password may not restore access when the underlying subscription or account status has changed.
GlossGenius states that an unsuccessful subscription payment can temporarily disable an account until its payment information is updated and the account is reactivated. Questions about duplicate subscription charges or an unexpected billing amount are routed to support.
A canceled account may be eligible for reactivation, depending on its status. A deleted account is different: GlossGenius says deleted accounts cannot be reactivated and their data cannot be recovered.
That difference matters.
Do not create a second account immediately after a login failure. Confirm the existing account’s status first, particularly when the business has an established calendar, client records, payment history, staff access, or booking website attached to it.
GlossGenius plans and payment costs
GlossGenius does not advertise a permanent free plan. Its official pricing page lists a 14-day trial that does not require a credit card, followed by paid subscription options.
At the time of review, the Beauty & Wellness pricing page showed:
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual-billing equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $28 per month | $24 per month |
| Gold | $56 per month | $48 per month |
The listed annual prices require annual billing, and available plans or features can vary by business type. GlossGenius also presents separate Medspa & Aesthetics plan options. Verify the live pricing page before subscribing because plan contents and prices can change.
The official pricing page currently lists a flat 2.6% payment-processing rate and states that it does not add separate Tap to Pay, card-on-file, or manual-entry fees.
Payment security is tied to PCI DSS, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. GlossGenius says it works with PCI-compliant processors and uses Stripe for payment processing and required identity-verification checks.
Where to review payouts
Professionals can review transferred funds from the Payouts Dashboard. On the web interface, the documented navigation is Payments > Payouts. In the mobile app, users can tap Payout from the dashboard or open Features > Payouts.
The dashboard can show the status of a payout and, for standard payouts, the individual client payments included in the transfer. GlossGenius says most standard payouts should reach the linked bank account on the next business day, although the receiving bank may take longer to post them. Weekends, bank processing, transaction cutoff times, and account reviews can affect timing.
Eligible accounts may also see an Instant payout button. GlossGenius currently lists a 1.8% fee for this option, displays the fee before confirmation, and states that the button will not appear when an account is ineligible. Instant payouts are unavailable during a documented quiet period from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Sunday through Thursday, and for 24 hours after the payout account is changed.
Check the Payouts Dashboard first. Skip assumptions based only on the payment’s checkout time.
How to contact GlossGenius support
The official contact page lists support hours as:
- Monday through Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time
- Saturday: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time
GlossGenius’s current support article also lists phone and text assistance at 1-888-979-7864. Contact details can change, so confirm the number through the official support page before using it.
Before contacting support, record the general issue category, the time it occurred, whether it affects the app or browser, and whether the official status page reports an incident. Do not post private account or payment information in public reviews or social-media comments.
Frequently asked questions
Do clients need a GlossGenius account to book?
No.
Can I use GlossGenius from a computer?
Yes. Professionals can access the browser version through the official GlossGenius login page, although certain phone-oriented client-profile functions are unavailable in the browser interface.
Why did I receive a booking page instead of a login screen?
You probably opened a professional’s public booking website. That page is meant for clients selecting services and appointment times. Business owners and authorized team members should return to the main GlossGenius website and use its Log in link.
How long is a password-reset link valid?
The official instructions specify 24 hours.
Does GlossGenius have a free plan?
No permanent free plan is currently listed. GlossGenius advertises a 14-day trial without a credit card, followed by paid subscriptions.
Why is the Instant payout button missing?
The account may not currently be eligible. GlossGenius says the button does not appear for ineligible users, and availability can also be interrupted during its scheduled quiet period or for 24 hours after payout-account information is changed.
Is GlossGenius down when my booking site fails?
Not necessarily. The official status page tracks the booking website, account login, payment processing, admin tools, notifications, reporting, payroll, and support as separate components. Check the affected component before changing account settings.
What should I do before opening another account?
Confirm whether the existing account is merely inaccessible, temporarily disabled, canceled, or permanently deleted. Recover or reactivate the original account when possible so its calendar, client data, staff setup, payment records, and booking configuration remain connected.
